[risolto]: Sid in chroot: fallimento lancio X

Salve,
sono su Lenny ed ho 'debootstrappato' Sid per usarla in un chroot.
Il problema è che, a differenza con le vecchie versioni, non riesco a far partire X in una console a parte.
Stavolta dice di non riuscire a trovare il device /dev/fb0, ma io l'ho generato con MAKEDEV...
(tra l'altro i file dispositivo mi pare che vengano adesso generati dinamicamente con udev)

PS il motivo è che X deve avere accesso a quel device, ma finché non lo "bindi" non può averne l'accesso. La stessa cosa accade se vuoi installare grub dal chroot, prima devi dare il bind del /dev/sd*

Ho creato il device con:

e poi l'ho bindato, ma nulla da fare.
Se lancio X da un chroot con Lenny non ho di questi problemi.

Ho anche provato a cercare il modo di disabilitare il frame buffer, ma non capisco come.

Leggendo il log, sembrerebbe che in xorg.conf hai indicato l'esistenza di un framebuffer. Dovresti cancellare quella parte lì.

Manca la sezione Screen.

Forse la cosa più semplice è copiare xorg.conf dal sistema funzionante (insomma quella che gestiste il computer nel momento in cui fai il chroot).

Inoltre penso che X abbia un po' di problemi con l'autoconfigurazione a causa del chroot. Quindi ti conviene fare un xorg.conf completo. Un

PS1 non ho mai avviato una intera sessione X in chroot

Purtroppo la configurazione automatica non risolve: stesso errore.
Ho deciso di semplificarmi la vita, invece che 'debootstrappare' in una directory sulla partizione principale ho creato delle partizioni secondarie e poi ho configurato a mano.
Adesso ho un più comune multiboot ed schroot lo userò, semmai, per la singola applicazione.
