Errore ACPI dopo aggiornamento kernel

Stamattina su SID è arrivato un massiccio aggiornamento del kernel comprensivo di nuova versione 2.6.25,che ahimè,non posso utilizzare perchè non supportata dai driver nvidia,quindi tornando alla 2.6.24 ho notato al riavvio alcuni errori,lancio dmesg e mi appare questo:

comunque, hai riscontrato malfunzionamenti?

anche se per il 2.6.25 non c'è ancora il driver nvidia potresti provare a vedere se in dmesg ti ripropone gli stessi errori, se proprio non puoi fare a meno della grafica puoi usare il driver nv, o al limite il vesa

No,nessun malfunzionamento....a parte iceweasel che mi crasha ogni tanto,ma questo temo sia dovuto al nuovo beta plugin di flash...la grafica mi serve per forza perchè con debian ci lavoro...
...ho scoperto che forse installando i driver nvidia  tramite installer non dovrebbero esserci problemi...farò un po' di prove...

Confermo che è bacato il mio sistema....spero che ciò non mi faccia eplodere il PC fra qualche giorno(anche perchè mi sa che ci convinvo da mesi e me ne sono accorto solo ora),comunque sia confermo anche i problemi nvidia col nuovo kernel,c'è poco da fare...anche coi nuovi driver beta non va una ceppa...spero risolvano presto....

Auto-aggiorno io stesso il mio thread,visto che in futuro puo' tornare utile ad altri....a quanto pare il mio errore non è imputabile al fatto che il sistema ACPI sia bacato,quanto invece a un bug...il messaggio infatti salta fuori quando vengono utilizzati uno o due core su una scheda madre che ad esempio ne supporta 4,quindi all'avvio il sistema cerca i due core mancanti non trovandoli...e da qui,il messaggio postato sopra....a quanto dicono nella discussione che ho trovato il problema è stato risolto col kernel 2.6.25 che pero' al momento per chi ha nvidia non si puo' utilizzare...

Già provate...non vanno!
...e non vanno nemmeno i nuovi driver beta 173.

Dunque, sono riuscito a ritagliarmi un po' di tempo per compilarmi un 2.6.25 vanilla e smanettarci un po'; come previsto, il modulo nVidia (169.12, installer ufficiale) non s'è compilato, ho quindi scaricato e applicato la patch, e ha compilato senza problemi. I dettagli delle operazioni, nel caso interessino a qualcuno

- kernel vanilla 2.6.25.4 compilato à la Debian-way, comprensivo di headers
- piccolo fix per sistemare gli headers, che dal 2.6.24 il kernel-package non genera correttamente:

Il problema dei driver nvidia è già stato risolto coi nuovi aggiornamenti sul kernel 2.6.25,se usi i repo di SID ora va tutto alla grande...

I repo di Sid li uso per forza (quella ho ), ma non i kernels precompilati, e tendo ad usare il vanilla, nella (mia) confusione non ho riletto il primo post e ho dato per scontato si parlasse di quello
