stampante HP Deskjet 1050 J410 series

Salve uso debian stable 64 ho un problema con la stampante in oggetto o meglio con lo scanner, stampa tutto ok ma lo scanner non ne vuole sapere di funzionare ho installato gli ultimi driver presi dal sito di hp ma niente da fare xane mi riporta un mess. dicende che il dispositivo è occupato

Se è una multifunzione recente, scaricati il kernel recente, versione 3, perchè mi sà che i driver sono legati a quello, abilita i backports e aggiorna il kernel, poi riprova.

Ma non credo si un problema di kernel perchè con ubuntu 10.10 mi ricordo che andava è aveva lo stesso kernel non è pericoloso ablitare backports ?

Dide,
per confortarti ti posso segnalare che io ho istallato con successo i driver HPLIP 3.12.4 (gli ultimi) su una Stable (6.0.4, ho eseguito l'istallaziano prima che venisse rilasciata la 6.0.5, se questo può esserti utile) con il suo kernel standard.
Differenze dal tuo caso:
- 32 bit
- Deskjet 1050A (un aggiornamento successivo di quello che sembra essere di base lo stesso prodotto)
Il PC in questione purtroppo non è in casa mia (è una istallazione che ho fatto ad un parente) e quindi non posso fare ulteriori verifiche per aiutarti, ma ti suggerirei di verifcare (con la dovuta attenzione) se lo scanner funziona lavorando come root e se così fosse fare una verifica sulle permission/gruppi di appartenenza del tuo utente.
Lo scanner è stato testato con xsane.
