Driver nv Input not supported

Il mio monitor è un Acer AL1716 e la mia scheda video è una modesta NVidia Riva128 , il problema è che riesco ad usare solo i driver vesa, se provo ad usare i driver nv sul monitor appare il messaggio di errore "Input not supported"... ecco il mio xorg.conf

Può darsi che ci siano dei problemi nella configurazione, prova a guardare nel log di xorg relativo ad un tentativo con driver nv.

Ho allegato il log... errori non me ne da, solo qualche warning relativo ai font... AIGLX l'ho disabilitato... secondo c'è qualche altro modulo relativo ad AIGLX che devo disabilitare... per esempio che è questo GLcore che compare nel log ?? HELP!

mah.. così a occhio io toglierei l'estensione glx e imposterei la profondità di colore a 16 bit, anche se onestamente non so se aiuterà

Non aiuta :'( ... comunque grazie! E se fosse un problema legato alla frequenza del monitor ?? Può essere?

dal log non si direbbe

e poi il monitor non è un dispositivo di input

perchè non provi una knoppix? poi se va puoi copiare lo xorg.conf

Vi dico come ho risolto... ho disinstallato tutto xorg

apt-get remove xserver-xorg

poi ho modificato il file /etc/apt/sources.list lasciando come unico repository il cd  con cui avevo installato debian e ho dato questi comandi:

apt-get install xorg

ed è tornato tutto alla normalità... spero sia utile a qualcuno...

oggi provo questa procedura
dopo un aggiornamento mi fallisce l'avvio di x e dice no screens found , pazzesco
ho provato reconfigure due o tre volte ma senza risultati
